Ok, new lessen learnt. The bit where it says the SKIM needs to be properly installed on the barrel is spot on.
Once I realised how very easy it was to change the barrel, I figured I would get it done tonight.
Last fault has now gone, and just got back from a 40 k drive. Started and stopped it half a dozen times.
The Jeep lives again to let me down another day.
