Very good to read that some one is taking an interest in the VM diesel and rebuilding them.
Personally I would like some one to take an interest in the oiling system on them, and maybe take a good look at giving them a bit more oil pressure at low rpm.

Is that the Penrite Enviro+ 10w 40 HD he is using?

I'd love to have the space to keep my old 2014 and pull the engine on that and rebuild it, it was running fine when I turned it off for the last time, albeit with a noise in it.
