size of fuel tank
After our last trip, we found we were regularly putting 110L into a 90L tank and over 200L into a 170L tank at many of the the fuel stops.. Many of the servos never get their machines calibrated it seems, esp when they are in the middle of nowhere. Overall though we've found QLD fuel outlets much more accurate. Some of the stations down south actually display a sticker that states when they were last calibrated by the dept of weights and measures.
