I wouldnt worry about the twist too much Ive seen alot of that before and chances are are both the spline an the slot it fits into are now a" unique " Fit. :confused:
Any how it shouldnt be a problem Ive been involed with a couple of off road racing teams and seen the twisted shafts being used for years(under heavy abuse)and not brake. ;)
