Funny this should happen today...

Talking to a guy today and he had the same problem. He welded a flat washer with a mig welder (just tacked it) then welded a nut to the washer and then just screwed them out. He raised the engine a little by releasing all the engine mounts and jacked it up a few inches. He replaced all the bolts. Like me he was discusted but to the extent he sold the XJ. Now has a Nisson Patrol reckons he'll never drive a Jeep again...(Sad) but I understood. The bolts are pathetic!!!
