On a side note, I noticed that thread also suggested that treating the CV bell weakened the shaft. Do you think this might be the case here?

Given how the GQ gear is holding up so far would you do it again?
I guess this is a better question for after tuff truck but I am interested to hear your thoughts.
We watched Wild Violet grenade multiple CV's that weekend last year. I lost count of how many times they were back at camp fixing stuff.
