Default Is AEV going to make a consumer J8?

Out and about in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan, we spotted these M-plated and AEV-tagged Jeep Wranglers wearing complete military-style gear. What are these guys cooking up?

Following on from news that the Jeep J8 has commenced production, this photo pops up. Yes this incarnation is leaf sprung.

Is this the 4 door version purely for military purposes, or is AEV working on a public release spec?
