I also suspect the Rubicon may hold it's value a bit better being rarer, then same also with the CRD too unless they release a V8, then again they may stop making Wranglers all together.
It would probably be cheaper to buy a Rubicon, sell the motor then install a turbo-diesel, even if you used a Izuzu 3.9TD or similar.
Having said that, with the great TCS Jeeps have the Sport may well do what 90% of owners want and a rear locker would provide a major kick again.
