I don't know why the foot brake gets such a hard time on the GC. I don't see the general populous complaining about the foot brake on the Kluger as an example of what appears to be a double standard. You do get used to it - it really is not a problem.

I have the electronic park brake on the KL and while I don't mind that at all, an electronic brake never feels as 'safe' (probably the wrong word but you get my gist) as a good shove on a foot brake (as in our WK2) or a good pull of a hand brake (as in our old WH). Just my personal opinion though.
