If it's the original engine that came with the car then it's the last 8 digits in the VIN as far as I know so in your case it'll be something like 5W######.

Apart from that I can't find any info int eh user or service manuals as to where it might be and I have no idea as I've never looked for it.

EDIT: Just found this in the service manual

The identification stamp for the 2.8L is located on the left side of the engine block, above the starter. The engine code label is located on the front timing cover and is the same as the engine I.D. and serial number.
