My add ons:

- Bullbar - 45kg
- Rear bar - 50kg
- Roof rack - 35kg
- Winch - 37kg
= 282 kg
According to your numbers the result would be (558 - barwork etc) = 276..?

Can I ask where the payload of 558kg comes from? The jeep website lists kerb weight for the CRD auto 2,173kg and that should include all fluids (oil, full tank, coolant etc). That would only leave 412 kg before reaching the GVM
Then as you mentioned adding bar-work, winch, 2" lift, tyres (these also add to the GVM), roofrack, passengers. Then I still need to add all the camping gear, chainsaw, water, fridge, food, clothing etc... it'll be tight, haha.

I think getting a sign-off from an engineer won't be that easy - GVM change needs to be added to the registration details by RMS (NSW); I suspect it isn't just shocks+springs but also the shock mounts, axle strength, brakes, stability program (ESP) and whatever else they come up with that would have to be "assessed".
