I've had foot parking brakes before and they aren't a problem in most cars. Grand Cherokees have traditionally been a little squeezed for left foot space due to the intrusion of the gearbox/transfer case into the foot well. The WJ was pretty awful in that regard. The WK2 seems a little better but the foot brake intrudes too much in an already cramped space in my opinion. My shin touches it in my normal driving position. I'll have to get a new normal driving position.
