It's a 30+ year old rig that suffered from quality issues and water leaks from the factory...... Look for rust, it will be there.
Hope you are hands on and good with the tools, you will be kept busy.

Timing chain housings crap out if coolant isn't kept fresh. Are about $ 700 here, and less than half that from USA. Can cause carnage and fill the sump with coolant and cook the motor.

Check normal things, easy to start, oil and coolant look clean, drops into drive or reverse without big delays. Most are clunky at the tailshafts and rear diff when going from neutral to drive due to slop and excess lash in the diff and unis. Make sure you drive it in 4wd and engage hubs to make sure there's no noise etc.

Otherwise they re a simple enough thing with a few quirks. Parts are easy enough to get if you know where to look. Just ask.
