Default REVIEW: STAUN Tyre Deflators

For those that know, deflating your tyres is the first thing you should do if you go 4x4ing. If its on sand or in the bush it is one of the most effictive methods of gaining more traction. Deflating your tyres not only gives you a larger footprint put can also protect your tyres from the likely hood of being punctured.

Delfating tyres can be a pain, lets face it, standing at your wheel for minutes on end and constantly checking with a guage gets on anyones nerves.

Enter the Staun tyre deflators. They have to be one of the quickest and easiest products to use.

No more wasting time using tyre gauges and waiting 10 minutes to air down, just pop these on and your at the pre set pressure first time and within minutes for all four wheels.

Step 1 Deflate your spare tyre to the pressure you wish to set your deflators at.

Step 2 With locking ring and adjusting cap wound down, screw the deflator onto the valve stem making sure its clean and that the thread goes on straight.

Step 3 Loosen cap (anticlockwise) until deflator pops open, then immediately tighten the cap to the position where the air stops coming out.

Step 4 Turn lock ring up to adjusting cap and tighten to ensure it will not move.

There you go, the tyre deflator is now set to the deflation pressure. Adjustments can be made at a rate of approximately 3psi per half turn of the adjusting cap.

They also come with a leather pouch so you have no excuse for losing them and keeping them clean and out of the way.

The best part, its an Australian owned and operated company so support local industries.
