Hi Folks Two other useful OBDII scanners that i use are the following.

The first thing you need to do before using either of these Scanners is update their firmware.
you can find the update software on the manufacturers Web site in the support section

This one is good to keep in the car for when you get and error code while out and about
so you can check to see what the engine light is bitching about, you can scan then if not serious clear the code.

cost Me $100.00 at Repco

And this far more advanced Bluetooth Unit that has IOS 12 and Later (iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch) as well as Android and PC interface,
You will need a WIFI connection for updating the app while in use, I connect to it with My iPad Mini Gen3 to connect to it,
and use personal hot spot off my iPhone for WIFI.

Paid about AU$240 on Ebay from a solid reputation seller

there are 2 very good apps for this Bluetooth unit.

The manufacturers APP, good for monitoring and clearing error codes.

And

OBD JScan, very powerful app for making changes to ECU settings as well as monitoring and clearing error codes.
https://jscan.net/

OBD JScan is powerful Jeep diagnostic app. JScan allows reading standard DTCs (emission related), live data and more.

When using OBD JScan the first thing you should do is BackUp your current ECU profile so you can restore it later if you make any mistakes,
this is easy to do just

1) Tap the gear icon top right corner of app window
2) Tap "Trace & Restore Adaptations"
3) Tap Restore tab
4) Tap the yellow icon bottom left corner
5) Tap the "Start BackUp" icon bottom right corner.

you also have to buy a AU$37.00 licence for the JScan app,
the licence only cover ONE vehicle so you will have to buy a licence for each vehicle you use this app on,
it tracks the Licence off the VIN code in the ECU to track the vehicle specs and app licences.

JSCAN also has a DEMO mode so you can browse thought it to see just exactly what your get for you subscription FEE
BEFORE you decide to pay the subscription fee.

Download iOS Version (IOS 12 and later for IPad, iPhone & iPod touch)
Compatible with OBDLink MX+

Other Compatible Apps

DO NOT have the motor running when Clearing error code or making ECU setting changes while using the JScan app, just cycle the ignition to the run position
E.G press the button twice WITHOUT having your foot on the brake peddle, or turn the key to the run position with out starting the motor.
the motor should only be running when using the monitoring side of the apps

ALSO read the user guide before you start, for one very good reason as my signature states.
