You can't really compare the two.

I used to have a 4.2 Petrol GQ before the Jeep. The big straight 6, as is the characteristic of all straight 6's, produces a bucket load of Torque down low. V6's are made to Rev and Rev hard.

Compare the Redlines for the two engine. The 4.2 Petty GQ redlined (and I am streatching my memory here) at 4,000 RPM. What's the redline of the V6? Around 5? 6?
