Haven't done it however the obvious risk would be introducing increased water into the combustion process. Water in combustion is less than ideal and particularly with diesels lower flash points can be problematic. Then you have the sludging and wear from increased acidic forms associated with water in combustion which would be significant given the lower grade fuels used in Australia and if your saving a bit of cash with lower grade oil.
There wouldn't be much room for a dryer so you would at least need to plumb in a decent water trap.
Then you are putting another 30 odd kg forward of the front axle in a fairly lightly sprung vehicle which may not sound that significant but it will surprise you.
