The rebound travel is the difference in height from where it sits at rest with stock suspension to full suspension droop (shocks extended to full length - in other words jack it up by the frame until the wheels almost lift off the ground).

I can even tell you the JK stock suspension statistics too

Front Bump Stop distance Stock = 53mm
Front Rebound Distance Stock = 97mm
Total front travel = 150mm

Rear Bump stop distance Stock = 67mm
Rear Rebound distance Stock = 88mm
Total rear travel = 155

So for the 1/3 rule, 32.3mm lift front and 29.3mm lift rear applies. HAH - what a joke!
