Default What Are People Saying About the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL

2019 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon eTorque 4x4 The 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL finally made its debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show recently, and the internet, media and our own commenters were quick to provide their opinion on the newly worked-over SUV.

The 2018 Wrangler JL remains true to Jeep form with a fold-down windshield, removable doors, a removable roof, four-wheel drive and an available six-speed manual transmission.

There’s some new stuff, like a more refined cabin, 2.0-liter turbo and 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines and an eight-speed automatic transmission, but for the most part, it’s just like the Wrangler many “Jeepers” know and love.

If anything, most of the comments we observed about the new Wrangler weren’t addressing the SUV’s available features, new styling or revised powertrain offerings.

Instead, they expressed their displeasure at how pricey the Wrangler has become – with some commenters mentioning they’d rather buy an older, used vehicle for the purpose of off-roading than spend upwards of $35,000 on a new Jeep.
