Result from a proper mechanical inspection:

It's just a bad oxygen sensor (original, nearly 30yo). Due for replacement once the new part arrives.

Car still runs fine.

Edit update: oxygen sensor replaced by mechanic.

That should be the end of the CHECK ENGINE warnings.
