Had mine replaced 2 months ago at 108k. Knowing these coolers can be fickle I did it as a preventative measure, but when the job was being done a slight film of oil inside the coolant tank was already evident. So there is no benchmark mileage, they can start failing at any time - or some may never fail. My coolant has been changed a couple of times in the last 2-3 years (eg. thermo change) and now again, so the cooler was still on its way out despite these changes.
