95 XJ Oil Filler Cap
Hi Fellow Chekka drivers, I have been having a slow leak, probably since my exhaust header was changed over a year ago, I noticed a smell coming from the engine bay when stationary, kind of like sesame seed cooking.... Joe Mechanic tells me there is an engine oil leak somewhere dropping onto the header itself and we need to degrease the engine bay to find the source.
I suspect it might actually be leaking from on high, like the filler cap [bayonet].
Has anyone had this experience? Have not changed the oil cap ever, in 22 years of one ownership. Is the cap itself DIY serviceable, or do I need to find another one?
