Usually the DCDC Charger itself should have internal switching to prevent power from feeding back when the vehicle is not running. The Recarc in mine does...
The ones I have fitted to other vehicles all seem to have a wire to hook up to an ignition source to ON/OFF the units, only needs to be a light gauge as it doesn't carry any load .......... I have 440w of solar on my roof so no need to spend extra on such devices.... in fact with 150w would mean no need.... and with the new battery rules fitting one in back of a vehicle has now become more difficult along with vans.
