From Memory, removing the fascia, undoing 2 screws and 2 plugs and the std head is out.
You will need to remove the mounting bracket of the stock unit and attach to the new one, buy a harness plug/adapter and you should be good to plug and play.
Most newer heads will use 2 rectangular din? plugs for power speakers, etc, Jeep have their own std. that wont go into anything else.
There wont be any RCAs for output to an amp on the stock h/u there will likely be on the new one, if you plan on upgrading later, put the RCA cable and the amp remote wire in now and save your self the drama later.
Its pretty straight forward take ya time and give youself a saturday arvo to do it the first time round.
