So they are on to this as well but appears advice & warning so far.

I'd think that a grossly overloaded vehicle, van or combination would be more of a safety concern/risk than a lifted 4WD but that's what they are currently giving out infringement/defect notices.

From my travels there are more overloaded vehicle/vans on the roads than big lift 4WDs..Maybe the horse has bolted and there are too many caravanners out there and an all out blitz would severely dent the income of small outback towns who rely on them...Put them off the road and a lot of towns will certainly hurt...Lifted 4WDs probably won't have a similar economic effect but the Gov coffers would benefit just like QLD stands to make something like $540million from speeding fines alone this coming year...Is there a message in this??
