Unless they are looking for higher levels of nitrogen oxide, if done correctly they'd be hard pressed to work out it had be done.

I think in this thread there was one bloke in the UK that had failed his MOT but passed after he implemented the EGR defeat.

I don't see the need to delete the Cat, they don't create a big drop in power. People who only drive around the city shouldn't buy a modern diesel with a DPF, it will only create problems for them. They'd be better off with a petrol engine IMHO.

Every common rail diesel should have a good quality catch can though, helps keep the common issues related to diesel EGR to a minimum.
