Did you leave the sensor connected & just paralleled the resistor?

Hi I used a 10 volt 100 amp resistor , just unplugged the injector wires and put the resistor in between the 2 jacks , still working . I started with just a 1 volt one and they kept blowing so I got a heavier one . My jeep is a 98
