I have only just found out last week via my mechanic that our 2011 CRD O2 sensor (exhaust down pipe ) doubles up as a temperature sensor as well.
It is a 6 wire sensor from the exhaust down pipe to a connector in the engine bay by the EGR cooler, very easy to change.
The sensor was measuring a constant 5 volts telling the DPF to regen when it was not needed.I also got the 2002 code on one occasion.
My mechanic said the 3 temp sensors associated with the DPF are O2 sensor, sensor in DPF canister and sensor in exhaust manifold pre turbo.
