A little update on my electrical woes.
I tried a new cluster and the fuel guage went to 3/4 where I thought it should be but in about 10 seconds slowly fell to zero. The tach never moved. I get an error code stating "fuel level sensor voltage high". I clear the code and it keeps reappearing.
Now I quickly plugged in a mates cluster and it worked! We only had it plugged in for a few seconds because if my car had blown up two clusters I didn't want to damage his one. My clusters in his car don't work with the fuel gauge, speedo or tach. I think my chances of having two bad clusters with the same problem is remote. I am tending to think the problem is within the fuel level sensor. The car runs and starts fine.
Does anyone know what the wire colours/pinouts are at the plug before the fuel tank? I can't seem to find it in the FSM.
