Curioser and Curioser, that will give the MT man something to chew on! I wanted MT Tyres 265/65R17's and given the advice and warning elected to stay with the 245/65R17 Coopers (both made in the same factory)
The only other issue was the front suspension bolt clearance - the MT's would have rubbed as I have only the medium OME springs up front as I don't have a bullbar, so in the end both factors influenced my decision. I am about to test a Tyre Pressure Monitor in the second spare, see seperate thread, which I will add to shortly.
