The belly pan/sump guard is a must, the plastic one gets ripped off easily and can get forced up into the engine bay. Recovery hooks are a good idea, but I've never used mine. I prefer to use maxtrax if they are needed.
I have couplertec rust proofing, seems to work. But I also give the underbody a good hose out after going to the beach. Three times a few days apart. By the 3rd time not much sand coming out.
I prefer the Chief hooks and bash plate, but each to their own.
I mostly drive up at Teewah Beach and Fraser, and a few trips to Straddie main beach and Bribie. I run slightly bigger tyres and air suspension in OR1 gives me about 270mm of clearance, 18-20psi. Haven't had any issues with soft stuff.
