I have just searched for Jeep Commander and found several articles mentioning a restart of production of this car in 2017 with the exterior largely remaining unchanged. There is a 3.7L engine option. No word yet on pricing....
Some of these articles are written in an incoherent
way and are dated from April - August this year. They even went as far to claim that this car was present at the NY Auto Show.
Is this for real? There is no mention on Allpar.com. There is no mention of it on Jeep.com, even though they are flogging 2017 GCs on it.
I thought FIAT was intent on butchering this assembly line. Why would they reintroduce this car virtually unchanged when it currently has no shared platform?
It is intriguing if it is true...
