The V6 has a timing chain Jeepers, different animal, does not need to be changed like the belt in the CRD. Neither does the water pump in the V6, all these things we are talking about are the CRD, the petrol is a good strong motor, just at the 100k service they do all fluids. You could sit down and work out which you do yourself, and which you wont. If a serpintine belt in the V6 goes you wont do any actual engine damage, you may overheat if you keep driving with no waterpump, but you would also get an engine light because the altenator would not be going, and the steering would become very heavy due to no powersteering pump. The one that the dealer would have to do is the brake fluid change, as they must used their scantool to cycle the ABS system to bleed the brakes. My 100k service on my old V6 was 980.00 from memory and it only took a day.
