I don't worry about whether they are accurate or not because you don't really know what you need to set them up to anyhow.
If you wanted to have them set for every situation, you would need to carry about ten sets!
I just use them for a quick initial deflation and then fine tune for the anticipated terrain with the old tyre guage.
Nine times out of ten I just run with whatever it lets the tyres down to if it is only a short run. If I need to let more out, I worry about it then!
I think people get a bit too technical with tyre pressures. It really is a "suck it and see" thing.
