Not quite. RBA's inflation calculator says that 25,000 1985 dollars would be just over 73,000 in 2019 dollars.
For reference, an XF Falcon was just over 15,000 at the time, in 2019 dollars that would be a bit over 45,000
Would be interesting to know what a 60 Series or Land Rover was at the time.
