I discovered this by mistake. It use to really annoy me that the TCU would not lock up till very late,(mine is a late 2003) then I was wreaking a 04 and discovered that the lock up happens much earlier (70 sh KM/h) and changes much sooner. Changed the drive-ability unbelievably. Much happier to torque it out at lower revs. especially when towing.

Hi Zaphin,
Welcome to the world of tuning. It will completely take you over at times, so be prepared to forget about life for a while.
Yep, knew about the different TCU tunes. I have files from both earlier 2002 and later 2004. I used the earlier tune to help me feel more comfortable when going for the ultimate low reving tune. Modifying the TCU to suite what you like will be very satisfying.
Regarding your earlier question. Back in the early days of this journey I did mess with the cooling maps a little. Honestly, I don't think it changed anything at all, so has always been on my list of things to look into more, but I keep getting distracted by funner stuff.
I have started posting some videos of the V4 calculator, and am hoping to have the V4 file released in a day or two. As I have been making videos, I have been thinking of little tweaks which keep me from pushing it out. Here's hoping the change today was the last and I can get it out. V4 is a big step up from V3.
