Default Smartbeam

G'day all, new member/first post.. Basically looking at a new laredo, took one for a drive and was pretty impressed. Was keen on the offroad pack and quadralift but was pretty much talked out of them by the dealer. Anyway my question regards the smartbeam/hid lights on the GC. Since this will be my ride out to work 3hr country drive to the bowen basin each week I intend on gettin a bullbar(ecb when they are ready) and a set of spotlights. Im sure i read somewhere that you cannot hook the spotlights up due to the HID system..... Anyone have spotlights on their GC? Tried searching but came up empty.... anyhelp would be appreciated

What were the reasons the dealer gave you when he tried to talk you out of the off road pack & quadra lift, non of the salesman I have spoken to had enough knowledge of the product to make an honest statement

As far as hooking up spottys the hid's shouldn't be a problem, it's more the can bus system, but spottys can still be wired in without to much trouble

He basically said they were dear as sin, i was happy with 1500 for the offroad pack with the a/t tyres and skid pans, but now apparently the tyres still stay the same. On the lift side of things he said they really limit travel on the high setting and was better off getting aftermarket lift from the get go... Lovells I think he said. And any factory options like these come with a waiting period..... Sounds like he just wants them out the door....and by the deal he was offering I think they are
