Default What Headlamp ???

Another post brought my attention to headlamps fitted and having always assumed my 2015 Laredo had HiD's fitted, I was prompted to have an actual look to confirm or disprove my assumtion......... Actually wasn't aware that HiDs should have washers fitted if over a certain lummens.........

So with light, camera and mirror in hand I hung into the engine bay and found a gizmo on the back of the headlamp with a label........ A look at my usual jeep Parts places in the US, Moparpartsgiant, Rockauto etc I am now of the understanding that I have Bi-Zenon HiDs, no headlight washer or adjustable ..... actual part number is 68248627AA

Our 2015 Laredo has HIDs. Self levelling. - but i haven't crawled into the space to crosscheck with your number. Might be a parts bin thing.
You can see the self levelling function when you start in the evening and when the headlights come on the light beam moves up from a low position to level.
Also has washers….these are behind the little square covers below the lights. They move out on stalks to wash.
They are auto operated - i think every 5 or 6 manual windscreen washer cycles on ours.
Sometimes you might notice a spray over the bonnet when they operate.
Reckon you might havem…

Been many years crawling around this rig now and no sign of washers or self levelling on it, I have had to adjust the lights manually and they don't mave anytime, so the mystery deepens.............. Of course Its a Jeep Thing

Be stuffed, I went out fired it up, lights and wipers going give them a squirt and this little nozzle pops out and squirts the lights, Golllie ............. pretty sure there is no adjusting going on but will have another dig around to see, I don;t have any height jiggers on the suspension at all either..................

Amazing when you find something new..................

Well as luck would have it I can shoot myself down ......... Someone has fitted height sensors on the Jeeperific as Im sure they weren't there when I pulled the suspension apart, in plain view on RH side at the front and RH side just above the axle shaft at the rear, so I assume my headlights will turn as I swing thru the bends and should adjust with suspension height changes, not real good as after I fitted new springs and everything I had to do a manual adjustment as they were lighting up the moon.....

Mind you if I drove at night more I may have noticed things, though have never noticed that my headlights had long dickies to squirt themselves in the rain ......

There you go, always something to discover................... looking at the price of the parts for these things, if a whole headlamp sh*ts itself might be an insurance job, bluddy kangaroo's.................

Ah didn't see this thread before I replied in the other. Glad you got to the bottom of it.

Note though that it's only vertical adjustment on these, no side-to-side

Drover they wont follow into a turn, you need Adaptive lighting feature, but an easy way to know if you have auto leveler is to start the vehicle up with the light switch on Auto, the light height will do a self check, UP/ Down and settle on the chosen height. Mine do it when starting up at night to go to work. For the headlight washers to work as JNK stated, lights need to be on, and they don't wash every time the dog pisser is pushed

Yeah, my 2015 does that on start up, headlights adjust. I'll have to check for the washers though, be real neat if they are there...
