Default computer oddities

Hi All,

having just had my sway bar disconnect fail (waiting on a quote for that one), 2 months out of Warranty!! now my ecu / ems seems to be playing up. This saturday my dash lit up like a christmas tree, all warning lights on, speedo, tach bouncing like mad and no central locking on the fob. would not start at all like that...

disconnected the battery, reconnected, all seemed ok for 20 mins or so, then bang, christmas tree again!!!

checked and cleaned every electrical connector i could get at. no good, still the same 20 mins after reconnecting all up..

i have it booked in with the dealership to take a look, but i wondered if anyone else had heard of similar issues?

mine is an 07 4dr rubicon.

any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Exarch

Jk 07 had similar issues, go to a manual disconnect, will be ever reliable in my opinion. They are not worth the money and the link is too short for a lifted rig anyway.

battery is relatively new (2 months), charge seems to be fine, 13.9v. i tried my thumper hooked up too and the same issues still present.

sway bar is not my concern really, if it's expensive then i am going quick discos.

My '07 Wrangler CRD did the same driving aslong at night about 2 years ago. All warning lights went on and the engine shut down momentarily before bursting back to life. Reported it to the dealer and of course they found nothing wrong. Haven't had a repeat. Yet. Mine ran out of warrantly on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
