Default KJ 2.8 when did the new Turbo and 5sp auto come in ?

Hi Guys well I sold or at least swapped my Kj 3.7 for the car my wife wanted a honda euro and after 4 days well she hates the honda and wants her Jeep back so want I now going to buy is a 2.8 TD auto but want to get the new 2.8 turbo with variable turbo viens and 5 speed auto but can't find what year and month they started .Also if anyone has one what are there thoughts and consumption like.

started bout 04 i think mins a 05 i gt round town 9-11l per hundred highway gets abouyt 7-9 ltrs per hundred

x2 Blue we have 05 CRD (i think CRDs started in 03 but not sure about 5 speed auto? sorry). I am frikean amazed at the econmomy cf. my XJ.

Just make a call to a Jeep Service Dept, or parts Dept. They will be able to tell you.

But from what I know, I think early 05 is where the later Turbo was used. IT went from 110Kw 360Nm, upto 120Kw 400Nm.

Economy is great, you'll love it. I'm planning on getting the DPchip. It takes it to 141Kw 454Nm, and is adjustable upto 510Nm

Tell me more about this DP chip how much$$ and where from sounds awesome.
