Default Ball joints

HI all

I need some urgent information..I recently purchased ball joints for my Grand from Rockauto, Mevotech MK3185 lower x 2 & M3134T upper x 2.

Im currently have these installed in the car & the mechanic has called saying they look different to the ball joints currently the need to replaced.

I checked Rockauto's website again this morning & it seems they are the correct part numbers, so any ideas on whats going on. The mechanic also said the new joints also have a C clip which is installed, however the originals dont.

So now Im confused here, the car's in bits I stressing as I need it back today & Im hoping I havent buggered up

Help!!!!!

Sorry cant help, maybe with photo to compare.
Keep in mind replacement parts often look a bit different but still work ok.
Dont know what you mean by c-clip , only one on ball joints is to hold boot on.

The part numbers look right, perhaps some parts were added unnecessarily.

The originals where probably genuine and the after market ones are slightly different

Thanks guys

Part numbers were correct, replacement ball joints are a little different to the OE but will go in.

Thanks again
