Default Drive used car review of KK

http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor...115-29eem.html

Here's one quote:

"The other big giveaway is a Cherokee with huge mud tyres, a high-lift jack on the tailgate and a monster winch hanging off the aftermarket bullbar at the front".

What is the reviewer on about? Fair enough if we were talking about Wranglers, but how many KKs have you seen like this?
Not enough if you ask me!

Not a bad review really. No surprises in there we don't know about already.

Why does every reviewer have a whinge about hard plastics? I have driven loads of other cars that have hard plastics in them too!

The guy who did the review is in love with a Toyota.
Says a prado is very capable off road
& they do everything expected of them ~ Toyota drivers must have very low expectations !!!

I've just gone from a '04 TD Prado to a KK Cherokee and, in stock form, would take the Prado offroad before I took a stock Cherokee. I also had a 2" lift and decent tyres on the Prado and after that it was awesome offroad... 180L fuel tanks standard, spare on the rear, etc... a great vehicle.

IMO the Cherokee really lacks the ground clearance. Waiting on the lift kit and tyres/rims to arrive, so keen to take it offroad then and see. From what I've heard though, the Cherokee still needs the swaybar links removed to get decent wheel travel, which I didn't have to do in the Prado.

BUT... they are a different class of vehicles. A Prado is $25k more than a Jeep Cherokee. So doesn't make sense why the Prado is even mentioned in the article??! Bit of Toyota bias like you say layback40
