Default Good Mech in Adelaide

Anyone know of a good Jeep mechanic in Adelaide?

I've been using a general 4x4 mechanic down south who is fine but is knowledge of Jeeps in particular is a little lacking so I'm looking for more of a Jeep specialist. I've had a little to do with both the dealers here in Adelaide and have been decisively unimpressed with them both I'm afraid.

However, while the car was in Blackwood the other day someone placed a card under the wiper for B.J. Auto Engineers at 49 Wodonga St, Beverly, who claim to be Chrysler/Jeep specialists. It seems to be an odd little shop tucked away in the backstreets. Does anyone here know them, and know if there any good?

The other place I've been thinking about is Pro 4x4 on Port Road. While they don't claim to specialise in Jeeps I've seen some impressive Jeeps in there workshop and they seem fairly knowledgeable. Anyone here use them?

Don't go to CrossCountry. They were doing work to mine which never happened as they felt it was to difficult. Heard they ordered parts for a TJ that was actually for a JK. No knowledge on Jeeps at all.

Mt Barker 4wd have done a few bits and pieces as well but mainly ARB gear if I remember. And I think it's Shannon at Pro 4x4 that quoted me 3 days to do an axle replacement of old out and new in.

Agree with not using Cross Country, they don't get the Jeep Thing. Glen at Mt Barker has 2 Jk's and is a very sensible guy. I recently had my timing belt done by Tony and the team at Stepney Auto. Many other Adelaide Jeep Club guys use him. Knowledgable, better rates than AB and a whole lot better service

Yeah, I have spoken to Shannon a few times, and he does seem good. He also sponsors 4x4 Earth, which is the other forum I frequent and often go camping with.

But do any of you know B.J. Auto Engineers? The card put under my wiper said they were Chrysler-Jeep specialists but I've never heard of them???
