Default Diesel JK ?

Hi don't own a Jeep yet but want to purchase a diesel 4 door JK next. I have a couple questions about the diesel and setting up a JK.
1. Whats the fuel consumtion like for the diesel motor?
2. Has anyone up graded there exhuast to a 3inch system?
3. Can you fit 15inch rims on a JK?
4. I want to run 35inch tyres, this will need a 3inch suspension lift and new diff centre ratios, is there anything else I have forgotten.

I don't have myne yet but the stickers says 9.7 the dealers says 10 so its probably around 11. The trip computer said 10 on the test drive.

Im averaging mid 11s to low 12s city driving only done one big highway drive and got between 9 and 14, i was having fun testing accell up hills and overtaking tho. From what ive heard they are built very tight and as they loosen the economy gets better.

Got a 2 dr maual and I have done 5500 km in 4 weeks, fuel economy is 10.2l/100km around town and 10.6l/100km when on the highway doing 120-125kmh and I drive my vehicle hard. When the fuel warning comes up LO I was able to an extract 95km last weekend.

I had my vehicle in 4H for almost 500km last weekend hunting and climbing hills and the economy was no worst then 11l/100km. I very impressed so far

looking at the stock exhuast I dont see that you would gain much apart from deeper grumble. Its already pretty good

The stock exhaust looks pretty big and a "high flow" unit would only add noise (assuming you changed the Cat and the Muffler). The factory unit is stainless steel, I definately won't be changing this!

If anyone has a Diesel Unlimited out there, how well do they handle bigger tyres? I have ordered mine with a set of 285/75R16's on it. With experience from GU Patrols (and considering the Power and Torque figures for the CRD exceed the 3 Litre GU TD) I would figure that the JK CRD will push 285's easy with stock ratios?
