Default JKU Overland availability

Hi Gents

I'm looking at buying one of these, preferably black, tank or silver and to be honest can't find one anywhere new/demo, I'm from Brisbane, unless they order one in and that is well over 55k from what they say, there is a gekko green one for 50500 new but can't be seen in that color, i'm not exactly that young anymore.

Is there a shortage or do they just try and squeeze more $ out? $50k for an overland would be a good price imho

If you're ever wanting to go off road don't buy an Overland. You're paying a premium for leather interior with colour coded roof and flares.

The 18" rims and tyres are HT's or Highway Terrain.

If you do want to go off road, buy a sport or a Rubicon

Well the idea was to get the Overland, lift it 2" and have a spare set of wheels with all terrains and swap to them and the soft top when I take it out, hardtop and 18" for family duty, well no family yet but "daily" duty really

wrong approach ?

You are going to get really sick of swapping for all terrains. Just get decent 17 inch all terrains. The difference on road will be tiny.

Only swap tyres if you want aggressive soft mud tyres.

17 inch oem Wheels are cheap if you do consider swapping later on.

Personally if you don't need a rubicon buy a sport and add extras such as leather, mats and audio as required. This saves you money that can be used for mods if you wish.

All wranglers will come with hard top and soft top.

Overland is expensive for very little practicality or actual usable extras.

Nothing wrong with Gekko green. I'm 47 and would have bought in that colour in a heart beat.

I agree with the others, you are paying a premium for painted flares that you are going to scratch the hell out of if you go scrub.

I got a Sport and had heated leather seats added for about $800 I believe. They aren't factory leather, but look fantastic.
