Default Jk/jl ?

Hello,

Anyone have any experience with the JL 4 door?

Has it even been released in Australia?

Just wondered how different it would be compare to a JK 4 door?

I'm not too interested in stock vs stock as you can buy diff locks and all the rest of it to make a serious 4x4. More or less thinking in regards to what can not be changed, Chassis, Entry and departure angles etc, what would be the better Jeep, JK or JL?

Which has more space inside?

Anything else you can add?

JL not released here yet. I believe the guys from double black off-road May have driven the JL in the states but I think it’s still a couple of months off being released here

My local dealer told me that there are a few JL coming by December but most are coming in January. All of their first few months' stock is already spoken for but they have a few in reserve, probably for eager buyers willing to pay a premium.

A stock JL will of course beat a stock JK in just about every category (check all the Youtube reviews if there is any doubt), especially the interior, which is probably the only unmodifiable bit that matters. The JL will lose out in one of the most important areas to me - value for money.

I would be keeping a keen eye on the used JK market if I was a prospective buyer. The same people who are eager to get into a brand new JL as quick as possible will also been keen to sell their JK, usually extensively modified, as quick as possible.
