Default What to do

Looks like I have got the death wobbles
My mechanic who Joel part owner of 4B Fabrications tell me after checking the car all the tie rod ends are stuffed and need replacing

I don't want to change from the standard alloys or run wheel spaces

Apart from factory parts (that are weak and cost a bomb) what other options do I have

Thanks Jono

If you're up for replacement like it sounds that you are grab yourself the Currie Correctlync Draglink and tie rod. The drag link can be reconfigured to LHD/RHD and high steer if needed. Plus it's much stronger than standard and you can run it with the standard wheels.

IMHO, Stuffed tie rod ends are dangerous, whilst setting toe out will keep the effect of free play to a minimum, it doesn't overcome the woeful oem part quality.

The improvement in steering feel and directness with the currie setup is excellent, combined with the synergy balljoints and replacing the tie rod bolts with the correct size 9/16 long shank ones (and plating the flogged out mounting holes with high tensile washers that I welded in) the outcome is superb.

I did run a mild amount of toe out with the stock tie rod and drag link, but have set this now to 0 with the Currie setup.

If your determined to run with the stock steering components then definitely recommend a minimum of 0.5 toe out per side, a number of folks seem to have success with this. Well they are happy until they drive my wifey's JK (then they crack the Sads.... Meh at least what needs to be done is no mystery and just takes cash)

It took me about 11 months to sort it all out, seems like a bad dream now.
