Default Paint Defects..Warranty?

Hey Guys,

Has any one claimed warranty on paint defects?

I have a 3 week old GC Laredo and was just cleaning some bird poo off the roof and found a few pimples of paint or something. Hopefully the pics have attached.

I'm not sure if I should b worried about this..? It is a brand new car tho.

If any one has claimed warranty on similar please share ur experience. I am booked in to the service dept in a week.

Thanks.

Those ones a pretty bad, I have a few pimples on the roof too, seems to be common, I was concerned about it at first, but they weren't that noticeable and on the roof you never see them unless you are cleaning. But those ones are probably big enough I'd be asking to have it fixed. Shouldn't cost that much to have it cleaned up and touched up.

I'm pretty sure the warranty book says paint defects are covered for 12 months, so I would definitely be taking that back and get them to fix it.

Yep - get em fixed. Roof or elsewhere, you should not accept that.

Paint defects come under your warranty. Notify the dealer ASAP. Do not mention bird poo, bat poo etc the dealers have been known to blame these things for paint problems.!!
Just remember you have about 5 days to get bat poo off the paint before it eats through, sometimes to bare metal. In tests our lab did it actually etched cheap glass!!

Hey I have my almost 3 week jeep going in on Monday for first 1000km service and I have clear cracks on my bonnet and roof, I also have some of those pimples on roof and one on the guard, not as big as yours though. I had to take my car in for pictures and now a paint technician is checking it in Monday. I'm guessing I'll be getting some panels painted on my brand new car it sucks! If I was you I'd just drop buy a dealer and show them so your car is in the system! I don't think you'll have a problem with those bumps though but I'd def say something! Good luck
