done a service on my 2002 grand limited used recommended trans oil new filter now trans is throwing up codes trans slipping wipe codes runs fine then throws codes oil pressure sencer b 4th gear change wrong any one have any sugestions
i got the work shop manual for it it says the auto is 4 speed mine has 4 gears and over drive so is it 4 speed or 5 when i dropped the pan it looked mothing like the auto in the book
There should be a tally plate on the back of the box with which box it is, I think it should be a 545RFE, and ATF+4 fluid................those signs usually mean wrong fluid or not enough, think I'd go wrong fluid.

I changed the pan filter didn't no about the second filter till I took the pan off it look like a small engine oil filter on the left hand front of the box the trans oil I used was Mohican full synthetic atf +4.any way to and from work today it never missed a beat no slipping no codes so I don't know what it was
If you check out www.wjjeeps.com they have a good run down on the auto's for the petrol models and cover all the stuff you need for your V8.
Being Yank nothing about the CRD engine or gearbox though so folks if you have a CRD you will only find out about all the other bits that keep your engine and gearbox off the ground.
