Default 4.0L i6 engine options?

To put it simple, I want my/an engine that goes hard and is reliable. I have a 97 tj w/ 4.0L and is burning oil severely (1 Litre every 100km give or take 25km).

The only problem is I dont have the spare time to go looking and searching for info about this. I do shift work with 13hr shifts 5 nights and 6 days..

My options:
1) Rebuild current engine with either supercharger or stroker
2) Find another 4.0L and rebuild + stroke or supercharge
3) Purchase and fit a rebuilt one?

I had it in my head that I was going to put a gen3 or ls1 in but after reading many threads the dollars just isnt looking attractive ( unless someone knows someone that can do it at a decent price "drive in drive out" I'll strongly consider it ).

I am from brisbane so if anyone could help with recommending some people/businesses that do engine/driveline works particularly with these engines that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

A fresh 4.0 will do the job and is very reliable, they have plenty of grunt and if it's power your after simply re-gear.
I've seen many MANY V8 conversions, some quite nice, some hack jobs, but your best bet is a well rebuild power plant.
Many of the conversions fail to consider the MASSIVE amount of design changes required to master this, and the one thing you don't want is a half baked pie!
